More good news for faculty member, Jessica Caron! Jessica and her research collaborator, Meghan O’Brien, have been awarded a highly competitive researcher-practitioner collaboration grant from the American Speech Language Hearing Foundation. These grants provide funding to support partnerships between academic researchers and clinical practitioners to conduct collaborative studies designed to enhance evidence for improving services and outcomes for individuals with communication disabilities. Their proposed project, Online training and implementation of adapted literacy instruction by pre-service SLPs, will investigate the feasibility and fidelity of online training in the implementation of literacy instruction for individuals who require AAC.
We can’t wait to see the outcomes of this important work. Congratulations, Jessica and Meghan!
