In 2013, Beth Breakstone joined the PSU AAC Community as part of the AAC Leadership Project.
Beth was recently recognized with an Emerging Research Travel Award by the International Society for Augmentative and Alternative Communication (ISAAC). Her research to-date has focused on the impact of play with respect to language and communication, and understanding the nature of input as part of developing high quality interventions which feature AAC. ISAAC’s 17th Biennial conference will be “Bringing Us Together,” August 6 – 13th, 2016.
The good news continues: we are also thrilled to share that she will officially be joining the faculty in Communication Sciences and Disorders at William Paterson University in New Jersey! This tenure-track position will continue to support her potential as a future research leader in the field.
