Effects of AAC Technologies With “Just in Time” Programming — Presentation
This session will present the results of research that investigated the effects of JIT systems compared to traditional AAC systems on the communication of preschoolers with CCN.
Adults With Autism: A Systematic Review of Community Participation Outcomes — Presentation
Poster session reviews what is currently known about community participation, living, and recreation outcomes for adults with autism spectrum disorders (ASD). Participation in social and recreational activities in the community can help an individual build communication skills, form friendships and other relationships, and establish natural support networks.
Japan & America: Picture Communication Symbols — Presentation
Poster session reviews implications for cross-cultural exchange and collaboration relative to picture communication symbols for AAC.
