Kudos and accolades to Dr. Michelle Therrien who graduated December, 2016 (pictured alongside Dr. Janice Light).
Dr. Therrien has been a doctoral scholar with the PSU Department of Communication and Sciences since joining the AAC Leadership Project in 2012. Her research has focused on improving interventions with young children; notably, enhancing the quality of social interactions and communication; reviewing inclusion; and raising awareness of developmental relationships between language and motor skills.
Dr. Therrien is now an Assistant Professor with the College of Communication and Information at Florida State University where she seeks to continue researching areas that increase quality of life for individuals who use AAC, social interaction and friendship development.
