Abstract: Recent advances in the field of augmented reality present a new opportunity for AAC systems that are more contextually integrated, relevant and cognitively salient. This presentation focuses on both these systems and human factors models that can be used to asses these devices. Discussion includes the implications of access to new technologies for device design.
