Hearty accolades to April Yorke for successfully passing her Candidacy on November 11, 2013! She is officially a PSU Doctoral Candidate!
April’s work, “Reading-related phonological processing interventions for individuals who use AAC: A systematic review” will clearly make a significant contribution to the field. [Presentation Slides].
April joined the AAC PSU Community as part of the AAC Leadership Project. She has also presented on A Meta-Analysis of Storybook Reading With Individuals With Complex Communication Needs Who Require AAC at ASHA 2013 in Chicago, IL, and has additional interests in the area of the impact newborn screenings can have in leading to support and information for families.
