In May of 2011, the AAC group at Penn State received the AAC Leadership Project, a large training Grant (U.S. Department of Education grant #H325D110008) to support doctoral students who are interested in pursuing advanced degrees in the area of AAC — particularly with a focus on high-needs children. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to train the next generation of researchers and leaders in the area of AAC, and it is a unique opportunity with generous support for the doctoral students involved.
The curriculum and preliminary outcome data to date were presented at ASHA in Atlanta, GA at a Poster session on November 16, 2012 — The Penn State AAC Leadership Project: Doctoral Training in AAC. [Handout]
