Mandak, K., Light, J., & Brittlebank-Douglas, S. (2019, November). Exploring Multimodal Alternative AAC Access for Adults With Cerebral Palsy. Poster presentation at the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Conference, Orlando, FL.
Abstract: Individuals with severe speech and motor impairments often use AAC systems with alternative access methods such as eye-gaze and switch scanning. Currently, available AAC systems allow for limited flexibility in access, as only one technique can be used at one time. This study explored a new multimodal access technology which integrated eye-gaze and scanning with two adults with cerebral palsy.
