Emily Laubscher receives ASHFoundation Student Grant

Congratulations to doctoral candidate, Emily Laubscher! This past weekend at the annual ASHA convention, Emily was awarded the Student Research Grant in Early Childhood Language Development from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Foundation (ASHFoundation)!

Emily’s project, “Effect of a Parent Training on Vocabulary Use for Young Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder,” will examine the effect of a parent training in the implementation of an AAC app that supports responsive Just-in-Time (JIT) programming on the number of vocabulary concepts used by children with ASD.

We can’t wait to see the outcomes of this important work. Congratulations, Emily!
