Abstract:  Individuals with traumatic brain injury (TBI) may be offered Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) with a range of onscreen keyboard options. This project examines the visual-cognitive processing demands of using an ABC and QWERTY onscreen keyboard by individuals with and without TBI. Results indicate lower fixation counts durations for all participants using QWERTY compared to ABC keyboards.
